DST News: British journalist and political commentator Sami Hamdi has been taken into custody by US federal authorities, an act described by a US Muslim civil rights organization as an “abduction.”

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) denounced Hamdi’s detention at San Francisco Airport on Sunday, calling it “a clear violation of free speech” and linking the incident to his outspoken criticism of Israel’s military actions in Gaza.
