DST News: Oman has announced that a planned regional meeting between Iran and Gulf countries on the Strait of Hormuz has been postponed in an effort to preserve regional consensus.
An Iranian Foreign Ministry official said the postponement was requested by several regional countries and was agreed upon jointly by Tehran and Muscat.
The development comes as tensions continue to rise across the region. In Yemen, fighting has intensified between government forces and the Iran-aligned Houthi group, which recently captured the strategic port city of al-Makha (Mocha) and strengthened its control over a key Red Sea shipping route.
