New Epstein Files Release Raises Questions Over Royal and High-Profile Connections

Collected

DST News: The US Department of Justice on Tuesday released its biggest and most extensive batch yet of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.

More than 11,000 files were made public, continuing a disclosure process that began on Friday, following a new law requiring the department to release all investigative materials connected to the late financier and convicted paedophile.

A significant portion of the documents remains heavily redacted, with names and key details obscured. Among those blacked out are individuals the FBI appears to have considered potential co-conspirators. This has drawn criticism from lawmakers across party lines, who argue that the law allows redactions only to protect victims’ identities or ongoing criminal investigations.

Former US President Donald Trump is mentioned more frequently in this release than in earlier ones. While many of the references come from news reports, one email from a federal prosecutor suggests that Trump travelled on Epstein’s private jet. The Justice Department has cautioned that some materials include “false and sensational” allegations involving Trump.

Being named in the Epstein files does not imply criminal conduct. The BBC has sought responses from those mentioned in its reporting.

Among the thousands of pages, a 2001 email exchange involving a sender identified only as “A” has attracted particular attention. The email, addressed to Ghislaine Maxwell—Epstein’s close associate, who was sentenced in 2022 to 20 years in prison for sex trafficking—states that “A” was staying at “Balmoral Summer Camp for the Royal Family.”

In the message, “A” asks: “Have you found me some new inappropriate friends?” Maxwell replies later the same day, apologising and saying she had only been able to find “appropriate friends.”

The email was sent from the address abx17@dial.pipex.com, with the sender using the name “The Invisible Man.” A previously released image from the Epstein files showed a similar email address, aace@dial.pipex.com, listed in Epstein’s contact book under the title “Duke of York.”
