DST News: United States President Donald Trump has said that a planned US attack on Iran was postponed following requests from Gulf allies, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, adding that “serious negotiations are now taking place.”

Speaking amid rising regional tensions, Trump indicated that diplomatic efforts were ongoing to prevent a wider conflict in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran remains committed to negotiations but rejected any notion of surrender.

“Dialogue does not mean surrender,” Pezeshkian stated, emphasizing that Iran had entered talks “with dignity, authority, and the preservation of the nation’s rights.”

At the same time, Israeli military operations in Lebanon continued despite a US-mediated ceasefire extension between Lebanese and Israeli officials. Reports said at least seven people were killed on Monday in Israeli strikes.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry stated that at least 3,020 people have been killed and 9,273 injured since March 2 as a result of Israel’s bombardment and ground operations.

International criticism has also intensified following reports that Israeli forces intercepted vessels linked to the Gaza aid flotilla in international waters. According to activists, around 47 boats were seized and hundreds of campaigners detained during the operation.
