DST News: Iran has launched a wide-ranging wave of retaliatory missile and drone strikes across the Middle East, killing dozens of people and wounding hundreds, as regional tensions sharply escalated following joint military operations by the United States and Israel against Tehran.

According to regional and international reports, Iranian attacks over the weekend targeted eight countries: Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Inside Iran, the Iranian Red Crescent reported at least 201 people killed and 747 injured as a result of US–Israeli attacks that began on Saturday.

In Israel, nine people were killed when an Iranian missile struck a residential building in Beit Shemesh, west of Jerusalem, on Sunday.

The United States also confirmed casualties. US Central Command said three US service members were killed and five others seriously wounded since the start of hostilities.

Across the Gulf region, casualties were reported in multiple countries. The United Arab Emirates said three foreign nationals — from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh — were killed, while 58 people of various nationalities were injured in Iranian missile and drone strikes.

Kuwait’s Health Ministry confirmed one death and 32 injuries amid the ongoing escalation, while Qatari officials reported 16 people wounded following Iranian attacks.

In Iraq, authorities said two people were killed and three wounded after a strike on the Jurf al-Nasr area of Babil province.

In Bahrain, an Iranian drone hit Bahrain International Airport, causing material damage but no reported casualties, according to the Bahraini Interior Ministry. In the capital Manama, a separate kamikaze drone struck a building on Al-Ma’arid Street, sending smoke into the air. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether there were injuries or fatalities at the site.

Oman reported five injuries in two separate incidents: four crew members aboard a Palau-flagged oil tanker struck north of Khasab Port, and one foreign worker injured in a drone attack on Duqm Port.

No casualties were reported in Jordan or Saudi Arabia.

The escalation follows Saturday’s US–Israeli attack on Iran, which killed several senior Iranian figures, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Tehran responded with coordinated missile and drone strikes targeting Israeli territory, US military assets, and multiple Gulf states.

The latest violence comes amid an already fragile regional environment, following a 12-day conflict last year between Iran and Israel that ended in a ceasefire. With retaliatory attacks now spreading across multiple countries, fears are growing that the Middle East is entering one of its most dangerous and unpredictable phases in decades.
